“So far as can be ascertained this delectable potion is not the staple diet of the Esquimeaux. It was probably first thought of in South Carolina – hence its name.” – Harry Craddock, The Savoy Cocktail Book, 1930.
2 ¼ oz Brooklyn Gin
½ oz yellow Chartreuse
2 dashes orange bitters
Stir with ice in a mixing glass, and serve in a champagne coupe or small cocktail glass with a thin lemon peel twisted over the glass.
